New York Teacher Arrested For Allegedly Giving Teen Covid Vax

The Nassau County superintendent informed News 4 Monday that a Long Island woman arrested for allegedly injecting a youngster with the COVID-19 vaccination without his parents’ consent is a public school employee who has been moved from the classroom awaiting the result of the inquiry.

Laura Russo, 54, was detained in Sea Cliff on New Year’s Eve after police received information about the suspected unlawful injection of the 17-year-old. She appears to be a science teacher in New Hyde Park’s Herricks Public Schools. The charges are unrelated to school and did not occur on school grounds, according to district officials.

Russo was accused of having a vial of a licensed COVID-19 vaccination in her house, however authorities could not specify where she obtained it. Officials say her kid invited a friend over, who requested the vaccination because his mother reportedly refused to get him immunized against COVID at this time. When the adolescent returned home, he informed his mother that he had received the vaccination. She alerted the authorities.

In a video, the lady seems to administer a dosage of Johnson & Johnson vaccination to the youngster, which is only approved for those aged 18 and over in the United States. Investigators are trying to figure out how Russo got the shot.

Officials claim that neither Russo nor her husband are medical professionals. She’s been given a desk appearance and is scheduled to return to court later this month.

She remained silent about the claims.
