Former President Trump sat down with the government-funded news outlet NPR(News Public Radio) for an interview but it didn’t last long at all. The left-leaning NPR attempted to interview Trump for close to six years. But when they finally had the chance, Trump refused to talk to them.
Steve Inskeep of NPR started the interview off by playing a recording of Republican Senator Mike Rounds of South Dakota stating that ‘the 2020 election was fair and when we tell voters there’s cheating going on then we are pulling voters away from the polls’.
Inskeep continued the recording by asking Trump about the benefits of discussing election fraud. Trump quickly responded, “It is an advantage because Democrats will address voter fraud in 2022 and 2024.”
You can find more details about the interview here:
Inskeep and Trump began to get heated after the first few minutes. Inskeep kept repeating his claim that there wasn’t election fraud, to which Trump responded “just look at the results of Arizona’s election audit” and “just take a look at what happened with Detriot’s poll workers.”
Inskeep went on to ask Trump ‘why are the majority of Republican lawmakers standing up and talking about election fraud?’ Trump shot back quickly because Senator Mitch McConnell is a big loser. He then made a good point and said if Republicans rigged the elections as the Democrats did then the Democrats would have fought harder than what Republican lawmakers are doing now.
NPR’s reporter kept asking Trump about his talking points until Trump ended the call by hanging up. Inskeep asked Trump another question, but he didn’t get a reply. He continued to act as though he was shocked that Trump ended the call.
NPR Previously Called The Constitution Racist
On July 4th NPR as they usually do read the Declaration of Independence live on air but this year they went full woke and warned listeners that they may hear racist content. NPR’s official Twitter account also posted the Declaration of Independence on Twitter but it contained a warning that read ‘this post contain’s racist content’.
NPR claimed that the expression “all men are equal” was racist because slaves and women were not treated equally in the past. NPR claimed that the founding Father was racist for calling Native Americans “savages” in the Declaration of Independence.
While it’s not surprising that NPR criticized Trump for asking biased questions on air, what’s more, surprising is the reaction of MPR’s reporter when Trump hang up. After being disrespectful for nine minutes straight, he was so shocked that someone would hang on to him.
