Biden’s Approval Ratings with Independents Sink to New Lows

Joe Biden’s presidential campaign in 2020 was largely built on his status as a moderate Democrat in the middle of the political spectrum. Some centrists and independents voted for Biden because of his determination to campaign on this issue.

The contrasts between Biden’s campaign and his presidency, on the other hand, are startling. The 46th president is far from the centrist moderate he portrayed himself to be in 2020.

Biden is perhaps one of the most contentious presidents in the history of the United States. He’s stoked partisan rivalries, exacerbated tensions between vaccinated and unvaccinated people, and wreaked havoc on policy.

With all of this in mind, it’s no surprise that the 46th president is struggling with Independents.

According to a recent poll, only 34% of Independents approve of Biden, with only 10% strongly endorsing him. Meanwhile, the president is facing a 55 percent disapproval rating among Independents.

Biden’s considerable loss of support among Independent voters comes at an inopportune time for his administration. Democrats are already expected to lose the midterm elections, a fact that no one in the party likes to discuss openly.

His dismal approval ratings come as public outrage grows over the COVID-related lockdowns, regulations, and restrictions.

Despite the fact that he has little public support in the United States, Biden keeps doing what he’s doing. He also constantly claiming that he’s outperforming everyone else as president and that he is on top of his game.
