The Democratic Vice President candidate, Kamala Harris, was made fun of on social media for once again coming out as unprepared as she struggled to answer simple questions, or softballs, that should have been simple to respond with a polished response.
In an interview with CNN that aired on the left-leaning network, Harris made a number of comments that drew criticism. She was questioned about everything from inflation to abortion throughout the interview. The CNN anchor Dana Bash first perplexed Harris as they were talking about the abortion topic.
“You’re saying now, the President said that this fall Roe is on the ballot. But what do you say to Democratic voters who argue, ‘wait a minute, we worked really hard to elect a Democratic president and vice president, Democratic-led House, a Democratic-led Senate? Do it now,’” Bash remarked.
Harris questioned, “But do what now? What now? I mean, we need, we listen, what we did, we extended the Child Tax Credit for the first year.”
“I’m sorry when I say do it now, act legislatively to make abortion rights legal,” Bash continued.
When questioned about removing the filibuster to quickly pass an abortion measure, Harris declined to comment, claiming that Biden had already addressed the problem.
She was also questioned about Supreme Court justices who, according to the Left, misled during their confirmation hearings about their opinions on Roe v. Wade. When asked what might be done about the problem, Harris did not respond and instead said that she did not vote for them.
Harris was grilled on the economy and inflation, and Bash pointed out that the Democrat Biden government is actually hurting people’s wallets.
“Well, first of all, let’s just say that this is a very real issue. And we have to do something about it. And it’s one of our highest priorities as an administration,” added Harris.
She then attempted to attribute the rising gas costs to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
Bash pushed by saying that inflation is now high and asked if the administration is concerned about a recession.
“I think that there can be no higher priority than what we have been clear is our highest priority, which is bringing down the cost and the prices as much as we possibly can and we will stay focused on that,” Harris answered.
