In today’s culture, words like “brave” or “hero” no longer have any meaning.
These terms were once reserved for those who were willing to put their reputations and lives at risk for the greater good.
These labels are only given to people who do and say what mainstream culture requires. Gina Carano is not like these “heroes”.
This has been a huge financial loss for her, but she has remained steadfast in her conservative beliefs.
After Disney expelled her from the “The Mandalorian” series, Carano was offered a second chance at The Daily Wire’s budding movie studio.
According to Deadline, the two had teamed up to produce a movie called “White Knuckle” that Carano produced. It would have seen Carano play a traumatized woman who hires an experienced long-hauler to find a serial killer.
The Daily Wire had some issues with the production of the film as it was about to go into production.
Hollywood would force all cast and crew members to adhere to vaccine and mask mandates. Carano stood firm on her principles again.
“After we announced our first project this summer, the Hollywood unions started debating vaccine mandates for cast and crew, and I wasn’t into that,” Carano said in a message to the crew at The Daily Wire.
“I don’t believe anybody gets to make your medical choices for you and I’m not willing to force masks and vaccines on anyone else.”
According to Jeremy Boreing (co-CEO of The Daily Wire), Carano demanded that production be canceled.
“Hollywood decided they would force masks and force vaccines on the crew. And Gina walked into my office here in Nashville and said, ‘Nah, I’m not doing that. We’re going to have to find a different movie,’” Boreing said.
“And I said ‘Gina, you’re a member of the union, your union is the problem.’ She said, ‘To hell with it, I’ll quit my union. Let’s make a movie up in Montana where they can’t get after us.’”
So, instead of abiding by Hollywood’s mandates, Carano and The Daily Wire did just that.
In the place of “White Knuckle,” the group is now working on a western titled, “Terror on the Prairie,” which Boreing said is set to debut in March or April of 2022.
Is Carano going to be hailed as a hero because of her actions? Certainly by some.
However, when it comes down to mainstream media, she will likely be vilified as an anti-vax conspiracy theory, just for standing up for medical freedom.
Carano made this decision knowing that she would be hated and misrepresented by the establishment.
That’s what makes Gina Carano brave. That’s what makes her a hero.
