Dems Attempt to Mess up with Critical Institutions

Democrats in Congress are using American institutions to further their political goal of gun control.

To implement liberal gun legislation, Democratic Congressman Mondaire Jones claimed that the party will remove the filibuster and possibly fill the Supreme Court.

Rep. Jerry Nadler of the Democratic Party scheduled an emergency hearing of the House Judiciary Committee to debate the “Protecting Our Kids Act,” a new gun control bill.

During the discussion, Jones stated that school shootings are still a reality in America, despite the fact that every other country has done so.

He also accused Republicans of blaming mental health for mass shootings while simultaneously defunding mental health services.

The representative added that because Democrats constantly confront the filibuster when trying to enact gun control legislation, Democrats will remove the filibuster this time to get the bill through.

Likewise, he claimed that if the Supreme Court tried to block them from passing the anti-gun measure, Democrats would extend the court.

In response to Jones’ statements, House Republican Jim Jordan said the Democrats’ primary goal is to destroy the filibuster and stack the Supreme Court, which is now clear.

When the measure is submitted in the House, it is expected to be voted on as soon as next week.

This measure aims to raise the purchase age for semi-automatic firearms to 21, as well as revising ghost gun regulations and proposing a new restriction on automatic weapons.

Although the filibuster is almost certain to stop this bill, Senate Democrats are working on a more moderate compromise to earn Republicans’ backing.

Jordan criticized Democrats’ strategy, saying they want to bash the NRA, firearms, and Republicans while expecting people to support their partisan agenda.

According to Jordan, the Democrats’ main goal is to repeal the Second Amendment, as seen by Biden’s proposals to outlaw 9mm firearms.

During the conference, Republicans complained that Democrats are not focusing on the real issue, which includes the offender’s mental health and familial concerns.

In the aftermath of the Uvalde school shooting, gun control legislation has become a hot topic in American politics.
