Senator Chuck Grassley (Republican from Iowa) called for an investigation into the Biden families’ alleged close ties and financial relationships with China in a powerful speech before the Senate. He spoke about a newly-completed report on the Biden family, and addressed unfair criticisms of it.
“[This report] shows the direct financial and legal relationship between Hunter Biden and individuals connected to the communist regime…[it] is yet another record that substantiates our report.
So, to my Democratic colleagues who falsely smeared our report: you now chair committees that have jurisdiction over these matters, I challenge you to use the same effort and energy that you exerted in the Trump/Russia investigation to expose the extensive ties between the communist Chinese regime and members of the Biden family.”

The senior-most Senate Republican, together with Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), released more evidence earlier this month showing Hunter Biden’s ties to Chinese businessmen associated with the Communist government.
In 2009, the senators published the ” Biden report” which detailed “questionable financial transactions among Hunter Biden and his associates as well as foreign individuals including the wife and former mayor of Moscow and individuals who have ties to China Communist Party.”
However, Democrats are unlikely to join Republicans in investigating Biden’s family’s business activities. For example, Sen. Chuck Schumer parroted a typical leftist talking point, saying that Grassley’s report “reads almost as if Putin wrote”
They won’t likely do what Grassley requested and investigate Biden as intensely as they did with Trump during the endless Russia hearing. But they are still using the same disproven talking points.
In case you don’t remember, the same allegation of Russian disinformation/interference was used to discredit the New York Post’s release of the Hunter Biden emails, emails that were later verified and confirmed to be real.
It is possible, however, that the Grassley Johnson report will be popularized, since some of its information is quite shocking.
The report revealed that Hunter received a diamond from a Chinese firm while Hunter was struggling to pay his bills. It also found that Robinson Walker, a company that sent $6 million to Hunter Biden, had made multiple payments. The report also included details about multi-million-dollar transfers and said that:
“At the time of the transfers, State Energy HK Limited was affiliated with CEFC China Energy, which was under the leadership of Ye Jianming. In the past, State Energy HK Limited transferred funds to at least one company associated with Hunter Biden’s business associate, Gongwen Dong …
“These transactions are a direct link between Walker and the communist Chinese government and, because of his close association with Hunter Biden, yet another tie between Hunter Biden’s financial arrangements and the communist Chinese government.”
According to the NYP, Walker, one of those involved in CEFC, stated that he was “being a surrogate [for H] or Jim when gauging possibilities, i.e. I was able to travel around Texas by high-speed rail with some republican friends… or to hit new countries and contacts abroad, where it is lukewarm enough that H can close the deal or too strange for H to be there …”
Even if Democrats aren’t interested in investigating it, it seems that Sen. Grassley has a right to say that there is a “there there” when it comes to China and the Biden family.
