Horrific Stories Out of Shanghai’s Lockdown Emerges

During a recent COVID-19 epidemic in Shanghai, many elderly people died in nursing facilities. Officials claim, however, that no one has perished as of yet.

According to security footage supplied by a resident, guys in white safety equipment were carrying bagged corpses and an advertisement for memorial services on the side of the car.

According to the Epoch Times, “we captured on our videotape the bodies of 15 old people who had perished being hauled away throughout the day, April 14, plus the early morning while we weren’t asleep.”

The resident lives in Shuxiangyuan Community Complex, which is located in Xuhui Community District in Shanghai’s northwest and faces House of Orchid, an aged care facility.

More remains have been taken before nightfall, she added. Paramedics had transported away a couple really ill older residents.

“However,” she said over the phone, “we have no idea what happened to these sick old individuals.”

Residents living right across the street from the Home of Orchid have been afraid to open their blinds for the past two days, she said.

This is because seeing hearses arrive a dozen times a day with over 12 dead bodies hauled away in yellow bags was horrific and terrifying.

The elderly, according to Meiling, require emergency support and medical care.

She told The Epoch Times that there were still about 60 people living here on April 13 based on the amount of takeout lunch boxes she saw coming in.

The high incidence of death among the elderly is alarming, and we’re noticing a rise in the number of people in our area who have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.

According to Meiling, residents have called local governments, helplines, and local media sources, but no one has responded.

If the care home does not relocate all of these old people to a safe place, the fatality rate will continue to rise, putting residents in the neighborhood in danger and fear.
