A lightning strike is said to have started a fire at a house in North Carolina.
Large flames and smoke rising skyward were visible in a Twitter video posted by the Winston-Salem Fire Department on Tuesday as firefighters battled the wildfire.
The residence was situated in the Pheasant Lane 1300 block. If anyone was present when the strike occurred is unclear.
There were no injuries reported, according to WXII. On Wednesday, storms were anticipated to persist.
In addition, on Sunday afternoon on Masonboro Island, a guy from North Carolina was struck by lightning. His state couldn’t be ascertained right away.
Another video of lightning striking a family’s car while it was traveling along I-75 in Tampa, Florida, has just gone viral. The hit entirely destroyed the vehicle.
“You could feel a slight buzz in the car when it hit us, and then my oldest daughter was sitting next to me and she jumped halfway in my lap and screamed,” Edward Whalen, who was driving the truck, said in a statement.
