While Manchin has stated that he opposes Brandon’s Build Back Better Package for some time, the left continues to hope that he would change his mind and support the disastrously huge spending bill.

Manchin, on the other hand, is not willing to go along with their extreme agenda; rather than bending the knee to Schumer-Pelosi-Biden, he is fighting back by proclaiming himself strongly opposed to it.

He made the remark while speaking with reporters, adding that he hasn’t spoken with Team Brandon since the Fox News interview in which he initially spoke out against the bill, and that he feels just as passionately about it now as he did then.

He then allegedly added to his remarks and reaffirmed his position, stating he isn’t going to talk about Build Back Better and that no negotiations are taking place at the moment.

And it’s not only BBB that Manchin opposes; in response to leftist appeals for him to join them in overturning the Senate filibuster, Manchin acknowledged it would be a difficult task and that:

“And the reason I say it’s a heavy lift is once you change a rule or you have a carve out, I’ve always said this. Anytime there’s a carve out, you eat the whole turkey. There’s nothing left because it comes back and forth”
