On “Fox & Friends,” a sheriff from South Texas supported Governor Greg Abbott’s choice to transport migrants north in order to lessen the burden on Texas’ small towns.
The recent claim that the border is secure was disputed by Vice President Kamala Harris, according to Goliad County Sheriff Roy Boyd. As for Abbott’s action, Boyd stated:
“It was a great ploy by Governor Abbott to bring attention back to something that was kind of fading away from mainstream media. He’s put it back in their lap and I applaud him for what he’s done.”

To Kamala Harris, Boyd said, “So every month, Border Patrol agents tell me that on a good day, they encounter between eight and 15% of the number of people that actually come across.”
Harris claimed that the border was secure while appearing on Meet the Press, but she spoke so shakily that it was obvious she didn’t believe what she was saying. She also attempted to blame Trump.
Chuck Todd remarked “Final topic here. We’re here in Texas, I want to ask you about the border. Would you call the border secure?”
Kamala Harris answered, “I think that there is no question that we have to do what the president and I asked Congress to do. The first request we made, pass a bill to create a pathway to citizenship. The border is secure, but we also have a broken immigration system, in particular over the last four years before we came in, and it needs to be fixed.”
