During the Democratic primary campaign for 2020, then-candidate Joe Biden used Twitter to brag about his tough-guy persona and remind voters of his foreign policy credentials.
“Vladimir Putin does not want me to be President,” he wrote on Feb. 21, 2020. “He doesn’t want me to be our nominee. If you’re wondering why, it’s because I’m the only person in this field who’s ever gone toe-to-toe with him.”
Now, two years later, Vice President Joe Biden’s remark has come back to bother him. Russian President Vladimir Putin made his move after months of massing troops and weapons of war on the Ukraine border.
Vladimir Putin doesn’t want me to be President. He doesn’t want me to be our nominee. If you’re wondering why — it’s because I’m the only person in this field who’s ever gone toe-to-toe with him.

Putin sent soldiers into eastern Ukraine after recognizing the independence of the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Luhansk People’s Republic regions.
Biden has failed miserably in his attempts to check or contain the Russian menace. He has utterly bungled this current round with Putin. He finished it off by sending his useless Vice President Kamala Harris to Munich last week to work with our friends to prevent Russia from attacking Ukraine.
Biden ran on a platform of restoring America’s global leadership position following the damage he claimed former President Donald Trump had created.
Biden’s foreign policy experience is pitiful. Given the current situation, his blunder of a tweet appears to be becoming worse by the day.
Biden works hard to create the image of a tough and astute leader, yet it was precisely his flaws and poor judgment that allowed the Taliban to retake control of Afghanistan in August. One of America’s biggest military humiliations was directly caused by his commands.
Our adversaries are monitoring him as he fumbles and bumbles through his public engagements. Leaders like Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping probably never believed that America would pick a senile president in their wildest imaginations.
Biden has a well-deserved reputation for exaggerating stories in order to make himself appear heroic, regardless of the truth or the repercussions of his actions.
Biden has never been known for his strength or intelligence. And now that his deteriorating cognitive abilities have been apparent to all, he has no one to fear. Our foes are well aware that Biden is just bravado.
