In order for this adorable animal to finally enjoy a happy life, a U.S. soldier is seeking assistance in securely bringing his little rescue dog from the Middle East to the United States.
In order to return his beloved dog, CJ, to his family in Utah, US Army Sgt. Macintire, who is serving his fifteenth deployment abroad, is soliciting assistance from the general public as well as assistance from the NGO Paws of War.
The pup’s rescue operation requires further financing before all procedures can be taken, according to Robert Misseri, co-founder of the Long Island, New York-based Paws of War. Additionally, the group revealed how near death this dog had been.
According to the Paws of War personnel, tiny CJ’s situation was precarious at the beginning of the expedition.
First of all, a staff member revealed that the dog had a number of health problems, including dehydration and even poisoning.
The youngster has little chance of surviving. Over the course of a week, she underwent a variety of IV drugs and therapies. She did not respond well at first, but after five days, just when we believed it was going to be her final day, she began to improve.
Throughout the rescue and rehabilitation process, the group kept in touch with Macintire and his family.
Macintire first encountered CJ while on patrol with other soldiers; he is unable to provide his initial name or precise location. The puppy was with its mother, who was tending to her litter on the side of the road as a guarding male adult dog stood by.
The sergeant continued to visit the family of dogs, attempting to win over the father pup, which he called Cooper, despite grieving the death of his own family’s Great Dane back home.
Cooper eventually accepted the food and drink that Macintire had offered, and he even let the troops play with his puppies.
When sufficient monies have been raised on CJ’s behalf, Misseri reported she is now doing fantastic and has full permission to travel.
