Even many who still support him were shocked when President Joe Biden said that inflation is worse abroad than it is in the US, despite the fact that the reverse is actually true, on June 14 at the AFL-CIO union conference in Philadelphia.
“Under my plan for the economy, we’ve made extraordinary progress. And put America in the position to tackle a worldwide problem that’s worse everywhere but here,” according to Biden.
The numbers, however, contradict Biden’s claim.
In April, countries other than the United States, which had an inflation rate of 8.3 percent, included Japan, France, Germany, Britain, Italy, and Canada.
The other nations were all lower in May, although the UK was higher than the U.S.’s 8.6 percent.
Prices are projected to rise much further in the future since the U.S. wholesale rate is significantly higher at 10.8 percent.
Biden made his comments in an effort to turn the dismal inflation statistics into something he could blame on others. In this instance, Obama accused Republicans of impeding his efforts to find a solution and Russian President Vladimir Putin of causing the inflation problem.
If Republicans are able to reclaim control of Congress in the November elections, they won’t be able to derail his program until at least January.
Even one Obama economist blames the American Rescue Plan for inflation, yet Republicans didn’t even support it. They did not stop pipeline construction or essentially order Putin to attack Ukraine.
They didn’t throw open the gates and let over a million illegal immigrants in, forcing the US to provide for and housing them until they could be processed. They didn’t engage in any of the actions that led to our current issues because they lacked the authority to do so and wouldn’t have done so even if they had.
