While responding to another automobile accident, a Wyoming trooper nearly dodged a white SUV that went off an icy road, according to footage released this week by the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
As 18-wheelers speed past in the freezing weather, the officer can be seen trudging back to his police car.
After a few seconds, the officer notices an SUV barreling at him and jumps out of the way before the vehicle falls off the road.
The trooper reappeared in a flash and appeared unharmed.
According to reports, the event occurred in Albany County, which is roughly 25 miles from Laramie in the southeastern region of the state. During the near miss, no one was hurt.
Due to ice conditions, certain sections of Interstate 80, which travels east to west, and Interstate 25, which goes north to south, have been blocked this week.
“Conditions continue to deteriorate quickly across Wyoming. Please slow down, use caution, and plan ahead,” as per the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
