The Daily Wire reports that the Florida restaurant owner has made it clear that Joe Biden supporters are not welcome at her establishment.
Angie Ugarte was the final straw as the owner of DeBary Diner. She lost 13 military personnel during the abrupt and controversial withdrawal from Afghanistan.
The business owner put up a sign at her front door inviting those who still supported Joe Biden, to go to another restaurant after the attack.
The sign stated: “If you voted for and continue to support and stand behind the worthless, inept and corrupt administration currently inhabiting the White House that is complicit in the death of our servicemen and women in Afghanistan, please take your business elsewhere,”
Ugarte explained that her sign was to show support for the Americans who were left behind in Afghanistan and to also display her support to the many veterans who frequent her diner. Ugarte plans to keep the sign up until all Americans who participated in various efforts in Afghanistan are safely home.
This was a sign of Ugarte’s anger at the feeling of helplessness after considering the families of the victims.
“I was just angry. I was just let down. I felt like one of those mothers, or wives, or sisters who were gonna get that knock on the door.” Ugarte stated to Fox 35 in Orlando.
Ugarte Also Added, “If you really, really still stand behind what’s allowed this to happen and the way it happened – which was unnecessary then I really don’t want to be associated with you in any way and I certainly don’t want your business,”
The owner of the diner has received both praise and criticism from her sign, but she does not plan to take it down.
Ugarte explained that “I’ve had people come to the door and look at it and turn around and walk away. And I’ve had people come into the kitchen while I’m cooking and say, ‘Hey, I love your sign,’”
ISIS-K was accused of leading the attack on the airport, as NATO and the U.S. tried to evacuate the country.
A suicide bomber attacked Kabul’s airport and killed 13 military personnel, as well as many Afghan civilians. In the days that followed, multiple drone strikes were launched by the U.S., which caused more controversy, as well as an alleged ISIS K strategist. A car containing 10 Afghan citizens, including children, was also destroyed.
The Biden Administration claims that hundreds of Americans and thousands of Afghans who worked with them over the past 20 years in the conflict remain in Afghanistan, making them vulnerable to the Taliban’s brutal rule. However, they claim that they have an “enormous amount” of leverage over the Taliban and will use that to free those left behind.
