Joe Biden Meeting With Family of Slain Marine Does Not Go Well

President Joe Biden has begun to meet with the families of the 13 US soldiers who were murdered by a terrorist suicide bomber in Afghanistan. That tragic event unfolded after the State Department and Pentagon inexplicably relied on the Taliban to secure Kabul and access to the airport gates.

Recent events have raised questions about whether “empathizer-in-chief”, as media often refer to him, has really shown the care necessary. As RedState reported, Biden snapped at a reporter yesterday trying to question him on Afghanistan, walking off in a huff. Afterward, as he was at Dover AFB to accept the bodies of the victims, Biden appeared to have checked his watch.

He’s now starting to meet with his families and it’s not going well.

This is a sensitive topic and Biden’s actions are not to be blamed. However, I will admit that someone with his condition might not be able to deal with these difficult situations. Although I understand that the loss of Beau was life-altering for President Biden, it is inappropriate to continue repeating the experience in a scripted manner. They know that every family has experienced the loss of a loved one. They want answers as to why the president made these decisions that lead to the deaths of their loved ones.

Beau Biden did not die in combat. After serving as a lawyer in Kosovo, and Iraq, he died from cancer several years later. The Marines and Navy corpsman that died in Kabul died on duty, murdered by terrorists we enabled after abandoning Bagram Air Base (thousands of ISIS-K prisoners were released from the prison there). Biden should be focusing on the fact that he is doing this, and not making it about himself.

Worse, some are trying to discredit the pregnant widow. I won’t go into details because I don’t want the ghouls to breathe, but you can probably guess the major topic that is animating so many left-leaning people right now.

Biden must understand that these families are largely responsible for what happened. Their children were left vulnerable and dependent on the Taliban. This is not what soldiers’ families signed up for when they trusted their children and spouses with the US government. This is the main scandal and why there is so much anger. It would be a good idea for the president to realize this and to apologize for his role in this. Instead of focusing on himself during these meetings, We can then discuss the next steps, with resignation being the best option.
