President Trump and former Vice President Mike Pence have made it apparent that they are no longer on the same page, and Trump confirmed that Pence will not be his running mate in 2024.
Should President Donald Trump seek a third term in 2024 and win the Republican nomination, he is basically ruling out picking former Vice President Mike Pence as his running partner.
The former president mentioned tensions that arose following the 2020 election, implying that their disagreements are too great to reconcile. Trump claimed the election was rigged and asked Pence to reject the results during President Joe Biden’s Electoral College victory’s legislative certification. Pence, who was overseeing over the certification processes in his capacity as Senate president, declined, claiming that the Constitution did not provide him with such authority.
Mike Pence decided to create even more distance between himself and President Donald Trump last month. On January 6, 2022, when speaking at the Reagan Library, the former vice president stated his pride in confirming Biden’s election.
Pence gave his speech at the Reagan Library, where he spoke to an audience of more than 800 people. Vice President Mike Pence stated in his speech that certifying the election on January 6th was the right option.

The former Vice President then went on to make a subtle dig at Trump and others, claiming that some Republicans believe he should have flipped the election. He went on to explain that the Constitution gives no true ability to overturn an election before a joint session of Congress, which was met by a reply from the opposite side.
When Mike Pence, the former governor of Indiana, was announced as President Donald Trump’s vice presidential contender, he shot to global notoriety. He was previously well-liked by the majority of Republicans, but because of his actions on January 6th, a huge majority of Trump supporters now regard him as a traitor and “Judas.”
