A Texas woman of three shot and killed a burglar while her children were sleeping, but authorities say she will not face prosecution.
Around 10 p.m., the mom and her children were at their house on Kashmuir Place in San Antonio. According to accounts, she heard the man trying to enter the main entrance from the laundry area on Thursday.
According to accounts, she fired fire and hit the victim, named as Roman Rodriguez, 41, twice in the chest. It’s unclear if the invader was armed or not.
When officers arrived, they saw a bleeding Rodriguez seated in a patio chair. According to authorities, he died on his way to the hospital.
No one else was injured as a result of the event.
According to sources, the investigation is ongoing, but the anonymous homeowner will not face prosecution because of the so-called Castle Doctrine, which authorizes a person to use force against an intruder who breaches into their house.
