Officials in Florida are looking for two women who violently assaulted a fast-food worker over an order issue before threatening to shoot her.
Two suspects went to a Steak n’ Shake in Tampa last month to complain about an issue in the products they were served, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
After jawing with the waitress, both ladies entered the restaurant’s work area and repeatedly struck the victim in the face.
On video, the worker’s shell-shocked coworkers can be seen watching the beating as one tries to interfere.
The worker ultimately slumped to the ground and was repeatedly kicked in the head.
Before fleeing in a silver Honda CRV, one of the suspects pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot the bleeding employee.
The incident left the woman with a concussion and injuries to her face, wrist, and left knee.
This week, police published video of the incident and appealed for the public’s aid in identifying the perpetrators.
“Attempting to defend herself, the victim fought back with the two female suspects as the fight moved out into the restaurant lobby,” detectives stated.
“There is no excuse for these two suspects causing such physical harm and fear to an employee who was simply trying to do her job,” Sheriff Chad Chronister stated.
“From fisticuffs to handcuffs, these suspects will be put away.”
