Biden Continues Bizarre Trend Of Kneeling In Group Photos

Perhaps the procedures for commissioning an attack submarine differ significantly from those for a surface ship, and considering how young nuclear submarines are, they’re even a little hazy. But, in general, it seems reasonable to infer that kneeling isn’t appropriate.

That’s precisely what Vice President Joe Biden did during the USS Delaware’s commissioning ceremony. Yes, that was the same occasion where he inadvertently stated that Jill was Obama’s vice president.

“I’m incredibly pleased with the work she’s doing as First Lady with the Joining Forces effort she co-founded with Michelle Obama as vice president and now leads.”

While that blunder was first the most prominent story to emerge from the event, a second one soon followed. That’s the strange shot of Biden kneeling.

Additionally, while it would be strange if Biden did this only once, it is far from the first time he has knelt for photographs. Breitbart News reported on Biden’s prior kneeling incidents.

As he invited the Seattle Storms to the White House to celebrate their WNBA victory, the president took a knee for a photo with them.

Biden also took a knee during a photo with the Los Angeles Dodgers at the White House following their World Series triumph in July. In May, after bestowing the Medal of Honor on a 94-year-old Korean War veteran, Biden knelt for a portrait with his family.

Because of failed NFL player Colin Kapernick, taking a knee now has political meaning. Many people joined him in kneeling to protest the American flag, turning the gesture into a serious performance with far-left political connotations.
