New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) has begun a campaign to capitalize on the Democrat/media-driven snafu over Florida’s new “Parental Rights in Education” bill, which Governor Ron DeSantis (R) signed on March 28th.

The law, called the “Don’t Say Gay” law by detractors, prevents age-inappropriate education on sexual orientation and gender identity themes in grades K-3 and protects parents’ rights when it comes to dialogues with their children about such sensitive topics.
According to billboards that will go up in certain Florida communities, Adams’ answer to the whipped-up panic over the subject was to attend an event Monday where he advised Floridians who he imagined were furious with DeSantis to go to New York City, where they may say whatever they want.

During the occasion, though, a woman questioned Adams about his insistence on child mask restrictions.
Daniela Jampel, an assistant corporation counsel, found out she was fired less than an hour after confronting a surprised and irritated Adams about when he would expose our babies.
At an unrelated event on LGBTQ issues, Jampel openly questioned Adams, who stood in front of a platform sign that stated, “Come to the city where you may say whatever you want.”
It was Adams’ attack on Florida, as well as the city’s firing of the woman, that prompted DeSantis to fire back at Adams during a press conference, marveling at the fact that Adams spent tax dollars on his campaign and correctly pointing out that people go to New York City, not Florida, to be muzzled and indoctrinated.

Florida: be free and we will make sure your education remains focused on the fundamentals (writing, math, the classics, civics, and now, finances) to best prepare you to succeed in the world pic.twitter.com/uNMHeXPoiU
Furthermore, as DeSantis may have mentioned, during the coronavirus pandemic, New Yorkers fled the state in droves and headed straight to Florida under the leadership of NY’s disgraced former Democrat Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the city’s Mayor Bill de Blasio, which is likely the real reason for the city’s push to entice people to return. Adams would prefer not to accept it.
In any case, Adams’ campaign will likely be about as successful as Kamala Harris’ terrible 2020 presidential campaign. Because, as you may have heard, once you’ve gone full Florida, you’ll never want to leave.
