GOP Slams FBI For Double Standard After Trump Raid As Biden Vacations

Hunter Biden, the disgraced first son, boarded Air Force One with his father on Wednesday to travel to Kiawah Island, South Carolina, for a family vacation. Republicans have criticized the FBI for using a double standard by searching the home of the former president Trump but not the Bidens.

In addition to being under federal investigation for tax fraud, money laundering, and unregistered lobbying, Hunter Biden frequently involved his father Joe in international business deals. However, there is no evidence that either the father or the son have been the subject of an FBI raid in connection with the ongoing investigation.

Just two days had passed since the FBI executed a search warrant at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, reportedly to recover presidential records that might contain classified information. Hunter Biden, 52, his wife Melissa Cohen, and their young son Beau met the president at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland for the flight.

The White House maintains that Biden was unaware of the Trump raid before it took place, and the Justice Department has not provided much information about it, but Trump said it was political targeting at the highest level. Trump rejected Merrick Garland’s nomination to the Supreme Court as Attorney General, who is in charge of the FBI.

The FBI’s handling of Trump as contrasted to the Bidens, according to Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, demonstrated a “Banana Republic”-style judicial system.

“There’s a double standard in how the FBI treats Hillary Clinton/Hunter Biden and how they treat Trump, his associates, and even parents speaking out at school board meetings. Americans’ faith in the FBI is collapsing because we know politicized justice is not justice at all,” according to Rep. Connie Conway (R-Calif.).

A copy of the FBI search warrant, which would provide light on the motivation behind the raid, has not been made public by Trump’s legal team. The former president is apparently under investigation for his management of government data as well as his attempts to contest his defeat in the 2020 election.

Meanwhile, the Hunter Biden inquiry has made no forward.
