Former First lady Hillary Clinton is back in the news because of an accusation made by Rep. Jim Jordan (R.OH), who claimed that Clinton became too close to Russians following a recent report that revealed troubling details.
According to an article in the Conservative Brief, Jordan pointed fingers at former Secretary of State when she appeared on Fox News’ “The Faulkner Focus” where she stated that the Russia investigation wasn’t what many believed:
“I think it’s important to understand this indictment and the one that happened a few weeks back with Mr. Sussmann, both of these are not about these individuals lying to John Durham and his investigative team,” Jordan stated.
“They are about the original lies they told in 2016 and 2017 to the FBI that started this charade that was the Trump/Russia investigation. So, Durham is going to the source when it all began.”
The Ohio Republican was referring to Michael Sussmann who is a cybersecurity lawyer that has worked for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign as well as other Democrats in his recent career.
Sussmann also pleaded not guilty to lying to the FBI about his comments regarding the Trump Organization’s Russia and Russia at a 2016 meeting.
“[B]oth of these individuals, Sussmann and Danchenko have ties to the Clinton campaign,” he said. “So, I think it is interesting. You know, oh, President Trump was working with Russia,” Jordan said.
“That was baloney. But in fact, it was the Clinton campaign that was cozying up to Russia and people who had influence with Russia. That, to me, is the irony of all this. So, I’m actually encouraged that we’re actually going to hold people accountable for who did wrong and put our country through this three-year ordeal that was based on a garbage dossier and the garbage information that Sussmann took directly to the FBI.”
Danchenko, a Russian researcher who was believed to be the primary researcher on the Steele dossier, is also believed to have been a key part of the investigation into the ties of former President Donald Trump with Russia.
Interestingly Danchenko was reportedly the primary researcher of the Steele dossier, and therefore one of the key parts of the entire investigation into former President Donald Trump’s ties to Russia.
The New York Times even asked Danchenko about his Russian connections in 2020. He replied, “I have never been a Russian agent.” It is absurd to suggest that. It’s absurd to suggest that.
But, Special Counsel John Durham is expected to call an ex-top lawyer at the FBI who worked for a law company that represented Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party.
