A Florida real estate agent was shot and murdered outside a property she was selling, prompting authorities to make an arrest.
Sara Trost, 40, was located in the driver’s seat of a vehicle with several gunshot wounds at 12:33 p.m. by Coral Springs police officers. This coming Thursday Trost died at the scene despite receiving quick medical attention, according to authorities.
By 2:35 p.m., a suspect had been apprehended after a thorough investigation by detectives. Raymond Wesley Reese, 51, was eventually identified and charged with first-degree murder. Reese was arrested and brought to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
“There was a disgruntled tenant who was evicted. He thought that the Realtor, who was showing the home, thought it was the owner of the house, and she was ambushed. She was sitting in her car,” Donna Smith, a local resident, told WPLG.
Trost was a Parkland native. A coworker told WSVN-TV that she enjoyed her work, and neighbors described her as a married mother of one child.
