Man Steals Purse In Brazen NYC Subway Attack Caught On Camera

A man captured on camera taking a woman’s pocketbook during a daring Manhattan subway attack is being sought by the NYPD.

The incident occurred at 6 p.m. at the West 163rd Street station near Saint Nicholas Avenue in Washington Heights, according to surveillance video. Thursday.

According to police, the male suspect approached the victim, a 43-year-old lady, brandished a knife, and attempted to seize her cellphone.

The two fought briefly before the man seized the woman’s pocketbook and fled.

The purse was later found, but the money that had been inside had vanished. During the mugging, the victim was not hurt.
