NY Judge Strikes Down Mayors Mask Mandate for Toddlers

Mayor of New York City Eric Adams fought for as long as he could. However, a judge has overturned a citywide ruling requiring toddlers to be masked at all times at daycares and nurseries.

The order was found arbitrary, capricious, and unreasonable by Judge Ralph Porzio, according to the victorious lawyer Michael Chessa.

Judge Porzio has made a decision in support of parental autonomy and democracy. The Toddler Mask Mandate was arbitrary, capricious, and absurd in his opinion. The policy is void and unenforceable as of right now.

On Friday, Margaret Nichols, the founder of Parents Protecting Childhood, praised the victory.

New York City mayor Adams tried to get ahead of the toddler mask mandate being ruled down, similar to how New York Governor Kathy Hochul canceled the mask-or-vax demand in February after a judge granted an injunction against it.

Mayor Eric Adams of New York City is considering removing the requirement that children under the age of five wear face masks at school.

According to the newspaper, Adams stated in mid-March that masks will be optional for those in childcare and pre kindergarten beginning April 4 if case rates and the risk of the virus spreading remain low.

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, there were 35 children (0-17) deaths in New York City alone on March 24, and 42 children (0-15) deaths in the entire state of Florida. The child mortality rates in Covid are said to be equal (0.01 percent ).

New York has consistently had one of the poorest Covid-19 response rates in the country. Lockdowns, mask mandates, vaccine mandates, and vaccine passports did not prevent the state from ranking among the 15 states with the highest age-adjusted Covid mortality rates. This was a far cry from the free state of Florida, which ranked 33rd in the US and let toddlers to be mask-free throughout the Covid epidemic.
