Sarah Palin Denies Romance Rumors With Ex-NHL Player

Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska, has denied allegations of a connection with former NHL player Ron Duguay, which surfaced after the two were photographed together in New York City.

According to a source close to the former Republican vice presidential nominee, they’re merely pals who met via hockey.

Palin has regularly referred to herself as a hockey mom while campaigning.

Last week, while Palin was in New York for her defamation lawsuit against The New York Times, the two had dinner together in Manhattan. The former governor made news when she went out to eat just two days after being diagnosed with the coronavirus. The hearing has been rescheduled for February.

Despite being immunized, she ate at the same Upper East Side Italian eatery on Saturday before testing positive. In order to eat in New York City, diners must provide proof of vaccination.

Palin, 57, and Duguay, 64, have been dating since last year, according to reports.

Duguay, who played in the NHL for the New York Rangers and three other teams from 1977 to 1989, was present when a photographer began recording them at the restaurant and inquired if her dinner partners were comfortable dining with her while she was infected. He then got up and knocked the man’s camera out of his grip so he will stop taking photographs of them.
