The Transportation Security Administration is letting illegal aliens who do not have proper documentation to board planes using their arrest warrants as a form of identification.
TSA sent the information to Rep. Lance Gooden (R-Texas) after he requested clarity on the federal agency’s policies and processes for mitigating national security concerns.
According to the news outlet, the ICE form is a civil immigration arrest warrant, not a criminal arrest order.
The document’s alien identification number is next verified by searching different Customs and Border Protection (CBP) databases.
Despite the fact that the strategy predates the Biden administration, Republicans are highlighting it in the middle of the border crisis.
“You literally have a federal agency saying, “We are so desperate to let illegal aliens travel about the country and have the ability to do what they want, that we’ll let them use an arrest warrant to board a plane.” John Zadrozny, director of the America First Policy Institute’s Center for Homeland Security and Immigration, said on Monday’s episode of the John Solomon Reports podcast.
It was ridiculous, according to a former Trump administration official, for a variety of reasons, including the fact that he could use an outstanding warrant to board a plane.
