A wave of so-called smash-and-grab robberies has occurred across the country in recent months against companies in blue cities like Chicago, among others, but many appear to be occurring predominantly in California.

Last Friday, the owner of a jewelry store in Northern California took matters into his own hands to prevent a smash-and-grab heist.
Surveillance video shows someone entering Maaz Jewelers in San Bruno’s Tanforan Mall and smashing the display case with a crowbar.
The shop owner, Usman Bhatti, is licensed to carry the gun in his hand, which he made sure the would-be robber and anyone else lingering outside the door who could have been up to no good saw.
However, it is Bhatti’s plea to legislators about the very real absence of action to protect small enterprises like his that is concerning.
“Do something, anything, it’s their job to protect us, to make some sort of law, we can protect ourselves at least,” Bhatti added.
In blue states like California, where he resides, however, radical leftist DAs are in place to do everything they can to circumvent and reinterpret the laws that are currently in place to protect people and their property from criminals.
