President Biden, who has stayed as far away from the White House and Washington as is humanly possible—favoring his homes in Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and a trip to Kiawah Island, South Carolina—appears to have neglected some of his Oval Office duties, much to the dismay of our country’s allies.
This predictable event results from information that The Jerusalem Post reported last week regarding Israel’s concerns brought on by the growing uncertainty around negotiations for a resurrected Iran nuclear deal. One that would provide Iran more access to resources and contacts with the free world despite the fact that it is one of the top state sponsors of terrorism in the world.
“Prime Minister Yair Lapid has requested a meeting with US President Joe Biden during his visit to the US for the UN General Assembly next month, amid deep concern in Jerusalem over an impending nuclear deal between Washington and Tehran.”
On September 20, when the US president is scheduled to address the General Assembly, Lapid hopes to meet with Biden, although no meeting has yet been finalized. But it gets worse than that.
Despite recent developments in Iran negotiations, Lapid has not yet been able to call Biden, according to a number of sources.
In response to Iran’s nuclear program and its regional aggression, Israel continues to strengthen its military capabilities, with both defensive and offensive weaponry, according to Defense Minister Benny Gantz, who recently met with Jake Sullivan, the National Security Advisor for Vice President Joe Biden.
