Authorities said Sunday that firefighters in Arizona assisted in the rescue of a man who became trapped after falling into a narrow space between a shipping container and a wall.
The guy slid while strolling on top of the shipping container, according to the Phoenix Fire Department, and fire teams from Phoenix and Glendale rushed to 16th Avenue and Hatcher Road on Sunday afternoon.
Officials said the man fell about 10 feet and became wedged between the box and a wall.
The agency added that “Technical Rescue Teams chose to release a heavy-duty airbag to lift the container the 12 inches needed to ultimately rescue the individual.”
“Once shifted, the patient was able to arrange himself such that firefighters could help him out of the cramped location.”
The guy, who has not been identified, was brought to a hospital for treatment after suffering non-life threatening injuries from the fall, according to officials.
There were no other details available at the time.
