According to Mobile Police, a FedEx employee, Bryan Devante Williams, who is a resident of Daphne, in Alabama has been charged with first-degree theft after allegedly taking a shipment containing iPads and other expensive gadgets and stuff.
Authorities said in a statement that Bryan Devante Williams, 27, was charged with running a theft case at a FedEx facility on Wednesday, as well as taking a shipment containing the aforementioned gadgets.
According to Mobile, Alabama police, officers were summoned to a FedEx facility while investigating a theft case, and Bryan Devante Williams, was charged with possession of a shipment of iPads.
According to reports, Williams has been freed from the Mobile County Metro Jail. According to the police, his bail hearing is set for Friday.
According to sheriff’s officials, an employee embezzled packages including iPhones, which were recorded with serial numbers and a FedEx tracking number.
A deputy discovered via investigation that the employee, subsequently identified as Williams, allegedly loaded the box onto his work vehicle but failed to deliver it to its intended location. The specifics of the probe have yet to be confirmed by authorities.
FedEx did not respond to requests for further comments and details about the said incident.
